PRODUCT OVERVIEW: This powerful yet delicate lotion is formulated to be used as a finishing product to most daily AM skin care programs. For colder climates or skin types that may need extra hydration, see Serene ‘AHA 10 Day Cream’. Serene’s ‘AHA 10 Day Lotion’ has a low pH and moderate glycolic acid content. It is effective in treating dry dehydrated skin while glycolic acid will aid the skin in sloughing off dead skin cells. Continued use will enhance the absorption of other treatment protocols and work toward thinning the stratum corneum for a youthful glow. Sensitive skin types should be instructed to use very little to start until skin becomes accustomed to active ingredient. Serene ‘AHA 10 Day Lotion’ can be combined with Serene ‘UVA UVB Shield’ to gain the protection of a sunscreen while using glycolic acid during the day when sun exposure will be encountered. Serene ‘Professional Skin Care’ does not advocate formulating SPF ingredients into products that contain glycolic acid. Sun avoidance is key to your skins health and is even more important to avoid when applying topical skin care products that contain resurfacing ingredients such as glycolic acid. For under eye care, use caution, and apply sparingly. Serene ‘AHA 2 Under Eye Cream’ care is best suited for this delicate area.
